OBDS Austria is an umbrella association consisting of 9 regional, independent associations in each province of Austria. OBDS Austria is engaged in all topics concerning Austrian federal law and transregional matters, EU-laws and initiatives on civil society level.
OBDS Austria is linking with the international federation IFSW and actively contributing to connect members of IFSW-Europe e.V., organizing meetings, conferences and workshops.
OBDS Austria has close ties to other German speaking associations and members, supporting each other and holding meetings regularly.
OBDS Austria is very concerned about developments in social care, human rights, quality and standards of social services and working conditions for social workers in Austria and in Europe.
Essential to follow the trends and developments is to contribute and enforce a European network within the social work community in order to inform and support social workers and social work associations.
